EdgeIQ (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

When you create an account and use EdgeIQ, we collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Email address

Account creation and login

Display name

Optional, personalizes your account

Password

Stored as a one-way bcrypt hash. We cannot see your plaintext password.

Starting bankroll

Used to calculate default stake recommendations

Bet log entries

Bets you manually record: pick, stake, odds, outcome

We do not collect payment information, credit card numbers, location data, device identifiers, or browsing behavior outside the app.

How We Use Your Data

To authenticate your account and maintain your session
To display your personal betting history and analytics
To calculate your bankroll, ROI, and performance statistics
To generate pick recommendations from our statistical models

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Cookies & Authentication

EdgeIQ uses a single httpOnly cookie to maintain your login session. This cookie is:

Not accessible to JavaScript (httpOnly), protected from XSS attacks
Sent only over secure connections in production (Secure flag)
Scoped to the EdgeIQ domain only
Not used for tracking or advertising purposes
Automatically expired when you sign out

We do not use third-party analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or pixel tags.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a SQLite database on the server hosting EdgeIQ. We do not share this data with third parties. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

EdgeIQ uses the The Odds API to retrieve live sports odds. Your personal information is never sent to this service. Only anonymous API requests for odds data are made.

Your Rights

Access: you can view all data EdgeIQ holds on you via the Settings page
Correction: update your email, display name, or bankroll at any time in Settings
Deletion: contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
Export: contact us to request a copy of your bet log data

Third-Party Services

EdgeIQ does not integrate third-party advertising networks, social login providers, or analytics platforms. The only external service we use is The Odds API for live odds data, which receives no personal information.
